Sara Ali

Sara Ali obtained her Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba, where her extracurricular activities included tutoring, working as a literacy intern for youth, and volunteering as a youth mentor for Newcomers Employment & Education Development Services (N.E.E.D.S.) Inc. in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

She recently graduated from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University this past June. As our current articling student, she has built a solid foundation in mooting, corporate law, privacy law, and employment law. Her legal education is further enriched by hands-on experience through placements with organizations such as West Toronto Community Legal Services, where she advocated for vulnerable tenants and represented clients in social benefits matters.

Sara’s dedication to legal research and client service is evident from her roles as a Law Library Assistant and her summer positions within the corporate governance and investments teams at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) and the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO).

Her commitment to community service is showcased through her involvement with Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC), executive roles in her law school’s Black Law Students’ Association, and her participation in the Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS) program. In her free time, she enjoys pranking her neighbors, baking carrot-cranberry muffins, and watching gore horror films.
