Angie Ziqian Zhang is a 1L JD student at Osgoode Hall Law School, where she serves as Vice President of the Osgoode Chinese Students Association. Before entering law school, she built a successful career as a journalist both in Toronto and Beijing, honing her skills in both written and oral storytelling.
She sees legal advocacy as a natural extension of her media experience — where written arguments echo the clarity and structure of strong journalism, and oral advocacy mirrors the energy and precision of live reporting. These transferable skills have not only shaped her academic success but also ignite her passion for the law.
Deeply interested in employment law and civil litigation, she is drawn to the human stories behind legal disputes and the opportunity to advocate for fairness and accountability.
Outside of her legal pursuits, she is a certified Zumba Instructor who finds joy in dancing and music. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, snorkeling, planting, camping and cooking.
