Jianyu is a student intern, passionate about law, international affairs, and advocacy. From a very young age, she has been involved in mock trial and Model United Nations (MUN), which have helped her develop legal research and public speaking skills.
She received the Outstanding Attorney (2nd place) award at the International Mock Trial competition and won Best Delegate (1st place) at Harvard Model Congress in Europe, while simultaneously receiving the Presidential Cabinet Award for authoring the 1st-ranked international resolution paper throughout the entire conference. Since starting her MUN career in 2021, Jianyu has earned numerous achievements, including Best Delegate (1st place) at a Yale MUN conference and both Best (1st place) and Outstanding Delegate (2nd place) at Harvard MUN conferences held in the United States and China.
Jianyu hopes to empower more youth to explore the legal and political world and has taken an active role in shaping such opportunities. In 2025, she served as Senior Assistant Director at Oxford Model United Nations Canada, and in 2026, she served in the same capacity at the inaugural Harvard Model United Nations Canada. She strives to create a world with more justice and innovation for future generations.
Outside of her legal and advocacy pursuits, Jianyu likes to dance, play badminton, and read.
