
Maia Yap is an Articling Student at De Bousquet Law Firm. She earned her LL.M. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and her LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of Birmingham Law School in the United Kingdom. She also holds a Specialized Honours BA in Political Science from York University Glendon College, where she received Certificates of Bilingual Excellence (English and French) and Law and Social Thought.
During law school, Maia served as Vice Chair of the University of Birmingham Canadian Society and volunteered with the Birmingham Law School Pro Bono Group on the “Supporting Start Ups and Social Enterprises Streetlaw” program. She was also a Student Volunteer for the Barbara Schlifer Commemorative Clinic on the Criminalization of Women project for Pro Bono Students Canada.
Outside of her professional life, Maia enjoys reading, cinema, travelling and spending time with her dog, Storm.
