Thomas Benstead completed his Juris Doctorate from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2021. Prior to joining our firm as an articling student, Thomas summered at the firm. While attending law school, he won the Cassels Brock & Blackwell Prize for Ethical Lawyering in a Global Community. Thomas was also involved with the Osgoode chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada, where he was in charge of the Wills Project, which provided wills and powers of attorney for low-income individuals.
Before attending law school, Thomas graduated from the University of Toronto, with High Distinction, with a BA in English and Philosophy. As an undergraduate, one of his papers was published in the Noesis Undergraduate Journal of Philosophy.
Outside of work, Thomas enjoys reading, geocaching, and complicated board games. His poetry has been published by the Society of Classical Poets, In Parentheses, and Wingless Dreamer.
